My Story ~ Tying Leadership to the Human Experience

I have been a creative entrepreneur in the small business space for over 25 years, and if I’ve learned one thing about leadership, it’s that your business is only as strong as your mind.

I was born with an insatiable curiosity about what it means to be human, exploring our full potential, and what our connection to this universe truly is. This intense curiosity has helped shape my life and work.

I want to use this space to share my story, why I do what I do, and what I hope clients take away from working with me.

Following My Own Path

I have always been a creative, highly sensitive and independent soul who followed my own path in search of my passions. In this case, that path was exploring our connection in this universe through emotions and healing, and how we can unlock our own internal strength. This pursuit of knowledge has led me to so many fascinating and spiritual places that have consistently transformed my life, and with all this knowledge in tow, I knew I had to share it one day!

As a teenager, I was exposed to yoga, meditation, and a variety of spiritual practices with my mom. She was my biggest inspiration in the personal development space and was pivotal in shaping my current coaching programs.

In January 2020, after a big life transition and with the sudden extra time provided by the pandemic’s first lockdown 2 months later, I knew it was the perfect moment to share my Soul SHINE program I had begun to develop over 10 years ago, inspired by the search for healing during a time of deep loss and grief.

SHINE guides you to re-discover and build trust with the wisdom of your heart and reclaim your inner passion and potential.

Making Spirituality and Personal Development Accessible

I love working with people who are curious about personal development but are hesitant and overwhelmed by how much information is out there, particularly in the spirituality world.

But despite fear of the unknown, human beings are born with more spiritual potential than they realize, and an inherent curiosity about the world. I love helping them tap into that creative spark that already exists in their minds, and creating a safe space for them to explore their intuition and create practices that help build trust in their own abilities.

This gives them the strength to navigate their daily lives—including the exciting and often exhausting world of entrepreneurship.

Human Development and Leadership Are Connected

Leadership is a whirlwind! While there is so much joy and thrill in running your own business, burnout is unfortunately common. As leaders, we often tie our identity and self-worth to our projects and forget to put ourselves first. But if your sense of purpose is derived solely from your work, it can get in the way of your well-being, which in turn can negatively affect your business.

But that’s where Positive Intelligence comes into play! It’s a mental fitness model that combines everything I’ve studied into one framework and involves developing new habits and rituals that foster a positive mindset.

These habits can be as simple; Block out non-negotiable time on your calendar for a walk in nature, bring aromatherapy or crystals into your at-home work spot, or give yourself permission to let go of your tasks and focus only on your breath. You’d be surprised how powerful even a 5-minute walk can be in clearing brain fog or mental exhaustion.

Because it’s app-based, these gentle reminders go wherever you go, and nudge you to enjoy small moments of self-love so you can elevate your life and work.

Bringing Leaders Together

When I first became an entrepreneur, mentorship and business support groups were hard to find. Nowadays, we have tech that makes it easier for us to connect in an instant.

Being an entrepreneur can be incredibly lonely, especially as we navigate an ongoing pandemic. When developing my programs, I knew I wanted group coaching to be a part of them. I believe women thrive when they support one another.

When you’re buried in self-sabotage and are feeling stuck, you sometimes need someone else to help bring you out of the fog, and who better to do that than others who have had the same experiences as you? If women see each other making space for themselves, it inspires others to do the same.

Why Should We Work Together?

I hope clients come away from our time together feeling supported by like-minded people and empowered by their own inner strength and potential. My passion is to help you get “unstuck” from a pattern of self-sabotage, and develop positive habits that will teach you to make yourself a priority again.

Life is not meant to be so difficult all the time! There are beautiful gifts and experiences all around us, and people who are willing to support us on our human journeys. My goal is to teach people to trust in their inner selves, their intuition, their signs, synchronicities and what brings them joy, so they can realize they are worthy of every happiness in the world.
